Keating Township
The property is located on Prospect Hill two miles east of Highway 6 and 46 intersections, East Smethport. The actual acreage of property is in question. The current tax assessment map is listed at 119.33 acres. Based on old property lines that we used in the past, timber sale deed description, Keating map, and aerial photograph we have used 130 acres for the report.
The northern one-third of the property has steep hillsides, the southern two-thirds is rolling hillsides as shown on following topography map. Road network is shown on map.
Timber quality is average with most of the volume concentrated in the smaller diameter classes. The past logging harvested the larger trees. A brief comment is given concerning quality under timber type.
